Post-Gazette strike
Since 2022, I’ve been interviewed by other journalists with the following news outlets about the Newspaper Guild of Pittsburgh strike against the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and its aftermath.
I was told by the seasoned newspaper veterans who trained me that journalists should never become the story. A three-year strike and the rapid upheaval of mass media in the United States taught me that sometimes we have no choice but to speak up. The strike, among other events, totally changed my perspective on how modern journalists can best serve our communities and world.
