I initially pitched a review of cult-favorite comedian Chris Fleming’s sold-out shows at Bottlerocket Social Hall, a venue and bar in Pittsburgh’s Allentown neighborhood that attracts fans of comedy, music, movies, and pop culture. After reporting on the weekend’s full comedy line-up, I ultimately wrote a comprehensive, first-person dive into what makes Bottlerocket stand out to touring comedians, visitors to Pittsburgh, and the social hall’s devoted members.
